At Tasty Mates, we care about our other mate – the planet! That’s why our sweets are doing their bit to ensure you can enjoy their unique flavours and relatable stories, whilst having as small of an impact on the environment as possible.
Packaging
Currently Tasty Mates packets are 100% recyclable. We’re proud of this, but we could be better! As we grow, we aim to become 100% biodegradable. Meaning you’ll be able to dispose of us in home compost bins or heaps and the packs will disappear having precisely ZERO impact on the environment…but we can only do that with your help! Packaging Disposal
As our packaging is made from 100% recyclable material, it can be disposed of in many recycling bins across the UK. Our pouches are manufactured using single polymer material which is Polyethylene and is widely recycled across the majority of local authorities all over the UK and Europe.
Next Steps
We’re currently speaking and working with packaging manufacturers to source an even more sustainable packaging solution! We intend to bring out Tasty Mates in compostable packaging as soon as viable home compostable options become available. Updates to come soon!
